Loughrigg from Ambleside

Why Loughrigg?

Loughrigg is a fell (a hill) in the English Lake District.

It's pronounced "luff-rigg" (unlike the Irish 'lough', although it has the same meaning).

A. Wainwright listed 214 fells in the Lake District in his seven 'Pictorial Guides'. Loughrigg was the first of these I went up. (The Eskdale Harter Fell was the last.)

I've done Loughrigg on three occasions since then.
